A Warm Inviting Space

Rear Garden, Old Rectory, Barcombe, East Sussex

This large garden sits in a rural location and the client was keen to blend the garden into its natural surroundings.

The client had lots on the wish list, walled vegetable garden, swimming pool, pool house, gym all softened with plant borders and meadow planting. The whole building works and garden took 18 months to complete and now the garden is starting to settle in well.

Clay brick pavers lead you around the garden opening up to lawns and large drifts of late season perennial planting. We used reclaimed Yorkstone for patio areas which blend in well with the period of the house.

The walled vegetable garden was constructed with flint with and a lovely cedar greenhouse which was supplied by Woodpecker Greenhouses.

Work is still ongoing and with help from the Woodland Trust 3000 native trees will soon be planted.
